Classic Kelowna
Southwind at Sarsons is a short walk from a Kelowna beach that’s been a favourite for generations.
It’s a place for safe swimming, sunbathing on the jetty and picnicking under broad-leaved trees. Cyclists and hikers set out for a day on the trail. Kids dig in the sand.
It’s a Lower Mission scene played out in a seemingly endless summer.
Back in the day, Southwind at Sarsons was a small dairy farm and a fruit tree orchard. This sheltered spot captures sunshine all day long. It’s a quiet country corner south of Kelowna, with relaxed neighbourhood bistros and shops.
Art at Sarsons
Sculptor Bob Dow Reid used to live right here at Sarsons. So he knows and loves the lake, the beach and the trees better than anyone else-it’s been a constant source of inspiration throughout his career.
Bob created our Southwind sculpture at the entrance to the Private Owners’ Club. The same sense of freedom is represented in Spirit of Sail and Rhapsody, famous public sculptures that can be seen in downtown Kelowna.
